I want to go home...
I want my time back.
I had a wonderful day yesterday...
I had a day off.

Two words,
calmly said.
"I wouldn't."
Line drawn

Retirement Fishing
our pond
tiny ripples
we drift

Even in daylight, this is still one of those,
Anxiety inducing moments:

Light of day reveals:
Marshmallow pokers,
Glass bottles, lawn chairs
Hershey wrappers strewn
Massive campfire
Powerless to cook
This escaped hotdog.
