Sunlight glimmers off
the pond, apparent beauty
on the surface, scum
What have I to say?
More than just normal drivel...
Do I want to share?
Eleven-thirty
Once early, now pay bedtime
Sleepless thoughts abound
Five days poem-less...
Habit worth fighting to keep,
Worth writing about.
In two-dozen years,
Our affection has not waned;
We have grown closer
Quarter century...
The locations have not changed
Only I have grown.
Young buck defiant
Stands tall against the world
Atop man-made hill
Two quail in the grass
Circling one another.
Quarrel? or courting?
Unknown all around
Every direction is veiled
Only movement reveals
Back-porch father's day.
Listening to old music,
Kids enjoy with us!
One-hundred poems
Unlooked-for accomplishment
More-than words: moments
Why is needed first
How follows to get me there
What is just a thing
Lowlands billow steam
Swirling under the sunset
Rings of cigar smoke
Interstate parkinglot
Audiobook reminder
Haiku forgotten
hazy spiderweb
aimed at catching the next meal
Dew drops caught instead
An entire day
Serving others, with our friends
Without my cell phone
