Loud cacophony
So many words, nothing said
Large crowd tiny space
When the concerned MiMi asked the very quiet 2 year old to "say that one more time," the snarky 2 year old replied "that one more time."
The off-guard Pawpaw, about crashed the car in a laughing fit.
Stories end too soon;
The hero who keeps the girl...
That's worth the telling.
Income is needed
More than to survive, only
Until debts are paid
Hot July
Distant fireworks
Painted clouds
Cool breeze
Deck chairs
Just us
Full cups
No words
Complete calm
Perfection.
A three day weekend
Projects, fam'ly, friends, reflection
Seems nearly enough.
Sunlight glimmers off
the pond, apparent beauty
on the surface, scum
What have I to say?
More than just normal drivel...
Do I want to share?
Eleven-thirty
Once early, now past bedtime
Sleepless thoughts abound
Five days poem-less...
Habit worth fighting to keep,
Worth writing about.
Surreal moments.
So many!
Why now?
No reason?
Divine intervention?
Such calm;
Internal progress...
One day,
All changed.
Rough waters.
But why?
"Don't kill me!"
Said the over dramatic 2 year old.
In two-dozen years,
Our affection has not waned;
We have grown closer
Quarter century...
The locations have not changed
Only I have grown.
Young buck defiant
Stands tall against the world
Atop man-made hill
Two quail in the grass
Circling one another.
Quarrel? or courting?
